winter, snow from December to March covers the higher parts of the Vosges and
local resorts provide good down hill and cross country facilities as well snow
trekking and sledging. The Ecole de Ski Francaise offers courses during the
school holidays.
The
area is rich in museums, notably the Unterlinden museum in Colmar, the train
museum as well as the French National Car museum with its Bugatti collection in
Mulhouse and the Open Air Alsatian Museum.
You
can also discover the region by car by taking the wine road from North to South
or by bicycle on bicycle paths through the vineyards.
Many
other attractions are on offer ; day trips to the German town of Freiburg or to
the Swiss town of Basel, to Europa Park, Europe’s largest attraction park, a
